How do I manage DNS records using the Zone Editor?

Akashi Hosting includes full DNS control through the cPanel Zone Editor. You can manage common records like A, CNAME, MX, and more advanced entries such as TXT, SRV, and DMARC.

Accessing the Zone Editor

  1. Log in to your cPanel account
  2. Under the Domains section, click Zone Editor

Quick Access Options

From the main Zone Editor screen, you can quickly add:

  • A Record
  • CNAME Record
  • MX Record
  • DNSSEC settings

Adding Other Record Types

If you need to add records like AAAA, TXT, SRV, or DMARC:

  1. Click Manage next to your domain
  2. Click the Add Record button at the top
  3. By default it creates an A record, but you can click the arrow down next to it to select other types:
  • AAAA
  • TXT
  • SRV
  • DMARC
  • MX (advanced)

Tips

  • Only create or change records if you understand how DNS works
  • Incorrect records can cause website, email, or service issues
  • Changes may take several minutes to propagate

If you're not sure what to enter, or need help configuring a specific record, open a support ticket and we’ll help you set it up.
