Why can’t I send or receive email for my domain?

If you’re having trouble sending or receiving emails on your domain, there are several common issues to check.

1. Check your DNS records

  • Make sure your MX records point to the correct mail server
  • Verify your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are set up properly
  • Use tools like MXToolbox to diagnose DNS and email issues

2. Verify email account settings

  • Confirm your email username and password are correct
  • Check your SMTP, IMAP, and POP3 server settings
  • Make sure your email client is using the correct ports and encryption

3. Look for quota or mailbox full errors

  • Log in to cPanel and check your email account’s storage usage
  • Delete or archive old emails to free up space

4. Check spam and security filters

  • Sometimes outbound emails are blocked by spam filters
  • Make sure your domain is not blacklisted
  • Review any email filtering rules you may have set up in cPanel

5. Confirm server status

  • Check Akashi Hosting’s status page or contact support to see if there are ongoing issues
