1. Introduction
By purchasing or using any services offered by Akashi Hosting, you ("Client", "User", or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms govern all aspects of service usage and form a legally binding agreement.
2. Services Offered
Akashi Hosting provides the following services:
- Shared Web Hosting
- Game Server Hosting (predefined configurations only)
- Domain Registration and DNS Services
We reserve the right to modify, refuse, or discontinue services at any time without liability.
3. Server Usage & Customer Responsibility
Akashi Hosting does not provide server customization or mod installation. Customers are expected to:
- Have basic technical knowledge related to server management, including add-ons, maintenance, and configuration.
- Maintain the security and updates of all installed software or mods.
- Follow provided documentation and not request plugin or gameplay adjustments from support.
Any attempt to misuse, bypass, or interfere with system limitations will result in immediate termination.
4. Game Server-Specific Terms
Game server hosting at Akashi Hosting is non-customizable. You are not entitled to:
- Request plugin installation, modding, or manual game server alterations
- Expect technical support for gameplay modification or advanced configuration
- Abuse server resources through artificial traffic spikes, exploit attempts, or performance sabotage
5. Automated Monitoring – Watch-Fox™
Akashi Hosting uses a proprietary, custom-built monitoring system called Watch-Fox™. This system is developed in-house and tailored specifically to detect abuse, misuse, or compromise across our hosting environment — including both web and game servers.
By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Watch-Fox performs real-time automated scanning of files, processes, and server content to identify suspicious activity, including illegal materials and exploit attempts.
- Watch-Fox may access stored data such as uploaded files or game server content for automated inspection purposes.
- In cases involving suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), Watch-Fox may securely compare content via third-party CSAM detection APIs that operate on file signatures or hashes.
- No manual review is conducted unless a system violation is detected or confirmed.
Watch-Fox is exclusive to Akashi Hosting and exists solely to enforce platform safety and legal compliance.
6. Billing & Payments
- Services are billed monthly by default.
- Invoices are automatically generated and emailed prior to due dates.
- Accounts overdue beyond the grace period will be suspended, and later terminated.
- Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase for Shared Hosting and Game Servers.
- Domain services are non-refundable.
Chargebacks or payment disputes will result in immediate account suspension and blacklisting.
7. Uptime & Service Availability
Akashi Hosting provides services on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, though we aim to maintain high availability.
We are not liable for downtime, outages, or losses resulting from:
- Third-party software bugs
- Network failures
- Game updates or mod conflicts
- Watch-Fox-triggered suspensions
8. Data Backup & Liability
Unless explicitly stated, you are solely responsible for your own data. Akashi Hosting is not liable for data loss due to system failure, human error, or account termination.
We strongly advise customers to make regular backups.
9. Abuse, Fraud, & Staff Conduct
The following behaviors are grounds for immediate termination with no refund:
- Hosting or spreading malware
- Phishing, spam, or fraud schemes
- Adult content of any kind
- Reselling our services without permission
- Abusing or harassing staff (verbal, written, or implied)
- Submitting fake identities or stolen payment methods
Any attempt to bypass rules, tamper with Watch-Fox, or attack our infrastructure will result in blacklisting and permanent ban.
10. Support Policy
We offer:
- Ticket support via our client portal
- Live chat support during business hours
We do not offer emergency 24/7 support.
Game server support excludes plugin management, mod installations, or gameplay configurations.
11. Termination Policy
Akashi Hosting reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that:
- Violates these Terms
- Attempts unauthorized access
- Engages in fraudulent or abusive activity
Terminations due to violation are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Users may configure their communication preferences at any time from their client area. We fully respect opt-out settings and do not override them.
12. Bulk Email Policy
Akashi Hosting does not send bulk emails of any kind. We do not operate newsletters, marketing blasts, or unsolicited campaigns.
All email communication from our platform is transactional in nature and directly related to service activity, including:
- Ticket replies
- Invoices and payment confirmations
- Order updates
- Password resets
- Email verification
13. Email Usage Restrictions on Shared Hosting
Akashi Hosting strictly prohibits the use of shared hosting services for sending bulk, unsolicited, or mass email campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Using PHP mail() or SMTP to send bulk emails
- Operating mailing lists from shared hosting
- Sending newsletters, promotions, or any form of advertisement
Shared hosting accounts are intended for personal or business websites, not for email marketing or mass distribution purposes. All outgoing emails must be transactional in nature (e.g. form responses, notifications).
Accounts found violating this policy will be suspended or terminated without prior notice, and may be reported to anti-spam authorities. Akashi Hosting maintains zero tolerance for email abuse.
14. Legal & Jurisdiction
Akashi Hosting is operated under Swedish law. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be handled in Sweden.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes made.
