How do I fix “Mailbox full” or quota exceeded errors?


When your email account reaches its storage limit, you won’t be able to receive new messages until space is freed.

How to check mailbox usage:

  • Log in to your cPanel account
  • Click on Email Accounts
  • Look at the storage usage bar next to each account

How to free up space:

  • Delete unwanted emails from your mailbox
  • Archive old emails locally to your computer
  • Empty the spam and trash folders regularly
  • Increase mailbox quota in cPanel if your plan allows

If you’ve freed space but still receive errors, or want help increasing your quota, open a support ticket.
